Have a support system in place to help you keep on track

Your life after a heart event or diagnosis might look different, but you can still live your life to the fullest.

One of the biggest challenges on the journey to recovery is maintaining long-term heart-healthy habits. It's easy to fall back into old patterns. That’s why it’s good to have a support system in place to help you keep on track.

Here are some tips to help you stay motivated:

Remind yourself of the progress you've made and the goals you've set for yourself. Celebrate your successes, no matter how small, and keep pushing forward.

Don't hesitate to ask for help when you need it as you continue along your heart health journey. Whether it's seeking advice from healthcare professionals, joining support groups or reaching out to friends and family. It’s normal to have setbacks, but don’t give up. Remember that consistency is key and every small change you make is a step in the direction of a healthier you.
