Check your progress to keep you motivated and stay on track

It’s been two months since you started the MyHeart MyLife program and set your goals for your heart health.

Think about the progress you have made so far. Have you reached any of your goals yet? If you have, reflect on your achievements and take time to celebrate your success. If you haven’t yet, you might want to revisit your goals, reflect and adjust if needed.

As you continue on your journey, your goals will progress as you do and you’ll need to set new goals. For example, if your goal after your heart event or diagnosis was to walk to the corner of your street every day, you might now be ready to set a goal of walking for half an hour, or two kilometres, every day.

It’s normal to have times when you feel less motivated to work on your health goals, and it’s easy to let good intentions slip. If you catch yourself making excuses, or you’re finding it hard to achieve the goals you set for yourself, enlist some support.

Messages include 'I thought I was alone...', 'Sharing my heart-healthy lunch', and 'Be kind to yourself.' A Q&A icon with a play button and social media icons like thumbs up and heart are also shown.
